At TV Fool, you can experiment with the antenna height to find the best reception.

Step 1) Go to the TV Fool Website

Step 2) Enter your Location to find your reception coverage

If most of the channels you want are in a certain color, choose the appropriate antenna model.

Step 3) Use your color code to choose your best LAVA antenna

The color code is as follow,

GREEN (strong signal) ~ You can use any of the following, our LAVA Omni HD-8008, LAVA Omni HD-8000, LAVA HD-2805 Directional

YELLOW (moderate signal) ~ You can use our LAVA HD-8008, LAVA HD-8000, LAVA HD-2805, LAVA HD-2605 Directional

RED (weak signal) ~ These are weak channels, for best chance use our LAVA HD-2605 (Do Not use a HD-8008 or HD-8000 for this color)

GRAY ~ These channels are very weak and will most likely require extreme measures to pick up any stations, will require an extreme antenna setup ($250+ in specialized antennas and amplifiers).



At the FCC.gov site, information is preset with the antenna 30ft off the ground
